Change of the GWO BST Basic Safety Training standard
The length for the GWO First Aid (FA) will be shorter
The GWO Organisation has change the content of GWO FA which effect the length of the FA:
GWO FA Refresher from 1 day to a ½ day.
GWO FA for new participants from 2 days to 1 day.
GWO Manual Handling (MH)
The length is unchanged, but content changed to more focus on practical exercises.
GWO Working at Height and Manual Handling COMBINED
This module was implemented last year at GWA. The GWO Manual Handling is fully integrated in the GWO Working at Height module.
You can still book GWO Manual Handling as a separate module.
The length for the GWO Basic Safety modules will be changed to
GWO package on-shore for new employees, before 5 days, now 3,5 days (including: GWO Working at Heights, GWO Manual Handling, GWO First Aid og GWO Fire Awareness)
GWO package off-shore for new employees, before 6 days, now 4,5 days (including: GWO Sea Survival, GWO Working at Heights, GWO Manual Handling, GWO First Aid og GWO Fire Awareness)
GWO package on-shore REFRESHER before 3 days, now 2 days (including: GWO Working at Heights, GWO Manual Handling, GWO First Aid og GWO Fire Awareness)
GWO package off-shore REFRESHER before 4 days, now 3 days (including: GWO Sea Survival, GWO Working at Heights, GWO Manual Handling, GWO First Aid og GWO Fire Awareness)

GWO introduced the new standard in April and the new standard shall be integrated no later than September 2022. Global Wind Academy has concluded this upgrade is important for our Customers and since April, GWA has integrated new lesson plans, our processes and change of the GWA booking system.
GWA are therefor happy to announce the new GWO standards are valid from today.
