GWO Working at Height and Manual Handling Combined Refresher

This module includes GWO Working at Height Refresher and GWO Manual Handling Refresher. The participants must be physically and medically fit to participate in GWO Training. For participants, the maximum body weight is 128 kg. This is due to the capacity of the fall arrest systems, which is 140 kg at GWA. E.g.: body weight: 128 kg + clothes and safety shoes: 5 kg + PPE equipment: 7 kg = 140 kg in total. If you do not meet this weight limit, you can not participate in the course due to safety. (Be aware, that in the industry there can be other maximum limits - usually the maximum weight is 136 kg in total). The duration is 1 day.
Information
The aim of this module is to teach participants to use basic PPE, and how to safely execute work at heights and comprehensive basic rescue operations from heights in environments similar to those of wind turbines in compliance with the BST Working at Height Module.
In general, the course provides participants with basic knowledge and skills to enable them to work safely in the wind turbine industry. As such, the course meets the requirements for new employees and the handling of emergency situations in the wind turbine industry.
For Manual Handling, the aim is to encourage positive manual handling behaviour and train delegates' ability to perform manual handling tasks in a safe manner in the wind turbine industry/environment. The training is designed to improve and refresh delegates' awareness through both theoretical knowledge and practical training. The main focus is on practicing correct techniques.
